Gold Awards — Summer 2011
Congratulations to Ambassador Troop 21292 — Gold Award Recipients
The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn. Currently between 5-6 percent of eligible Girls Scouts earn the Girl Scout Gold Award annually.
After completing a host of prerequisites, each girl researches and chooses a community need she would like to focus on for her project. The project itself is 65 hours or more with the Girl Scout serving in a leadership role to create and implement a project that meets a community need and is a sustained effort. She also must recruit and train a team of volunteers to assist in her effort.
